There are provisions for cake, fruit baskets, candle-light dinner, decorated beds, and kesar milk on your first night in the houseboat at Srinagar. Informing the agent about the honeymoon inclusions at the time of booking is suggested.
You can expect frequent power cuts on the houseboats. Also, the housekeeping is not available at all hours. Since the food as to be brought from outside, timings of all meals are also fixed to prevent the food from getting cold.
Though Kashmir is a year round destination, summers and monsoons are considered to be the best seasons to visit Kashmir. It is so because Sonamarg is open for general public only between March – September.
Light woolens are sufficient during summers. But in winters, we suggest you to carry thick woolens as the temperatures may go below the freezing point.
