October to March is ideal for a weather-based visit, but all year round tourists flock here. Many monks flocked from Dharamshala to Bodh Gaya after October and the city was colored with maroon robes. The honorable Dalai Lama spends his time at this beautiful place during the months of January and December.
Gaya is known for its sweets and for a number of the same is the place of origin. You can savor local delicacies like Kesariya peda, Lai, Khaja, Tilkut and Enusra.
